Freestyle and Toss/Fetch
USDDN rules will be followed for both qualifying and non-qualifying divisions.  For more information, visit the USDDN website at www.usddn.com.
 

Team Time Trial - Ohio Rules
This event consists of a team made up of 3 dogs and 3 handlers.  Any handler may compete on a maximum of 2 teams, but must play with a different dog on each team.  

A team will select a throwing order and must maintain that order throughout the round.  The object is to get three 20-yard catches in the shortest possible time.   Each handler/dog pair will make one throw, then rotate to the next handler/dog pair until the team has completed three 20 yard throw and catches.  A maximum time of 90 seconds is allowed per round. 
 

Discs:

For Super-Open Freestyle, Open Freestyle, Super-Pro Toss/Fetch, and Pro Toss/Fetch, the following disc rules must be followed.
The following brands of discs are allowed for use in USDDN qualifying divisions of competition:
  • Wham-O: Fastback Standard, Flex & Super Flex
  • DTW: Chomper Standard, Flex & SuperFlex
  • Innova Hero: 235's: AIR and Xtra
  • DogStar: Standard and Crusher
  • Innova Hero: 215's: Sonic, Super Sonic, Sonic Xtra
  • Hyperflite: K-10 Competition Standard, Frostbite, UV & Midnight Sun
  • Innova Eurablend
  • Innova Hero: 235's: Super Hero/K9 Candy, SuperStars, SuperSwirls
  • DogStar: Crusher Heavy & Crusher T-Rex
  • Hyperflite: Jawz (All variants of Jawz - HyperFlex, XComp, Standard)

    If your dog measures 15.00 inches or less at the shoulder, you may choose to compete with any of the discs defined above or those specified below.

  • Innova Hero: Pup 160's
  • Hyperflite: Pup Jawz, Pup Frostbite, Pup Competition Standard
  • Penalties will apply for mixing disc size/weights.  For complete rules, visit www.usddn.com.

     

    For Novice Freestyle and Novice Toss/Fetch, any of the above discs may be used, in addition to the following:
    Any Hero, Hyperflite, Fastback variation, Floppy Flyers, Jawz, Euroblends, Super Hero, Hero Xtra, or Kong rubber.  All discs must be considered safe for dog use at judges discretion. 


    Directions: I-275 to exit 59 (Milford Parkway).  Take the Milford Parkway toward the shopping center.  Go straight thru first light.  At 2nd light, road name changes to OH-131 - stay straight on OH-131.  Go about 4 miles, park is on left.  Enter park and drive to first large fields on right.

    Parking Info: Turn into the first parking area on your right.  One of the parking posts will be removed to allow us access to the field for unloading and loading.  You may drive onto the field to unload your gear, but please move your vehicle back to the parking area when you are finished unloading.  **Driving on the field will be dependent on the weather.  If the field is wet, cars may not be allowed on the field.
