Open/AWI Qualifier Freestyle will consist of Freestyle round 1 + Toss/Catch round 2 + Freestyle round 3.  Cut to top 15 after Toss/Catch round 2.  The top 5 finishers will receive an invitation to the 2010 Ashley Whippet Invitational World Championships in Naperville, IL.  Freestyle rounds are 2 minutes long. 

Intermediate freestyle will consist of 2 rounds of freestyle (no Toss/Catch round).  Cut to top 10 after round 1.  Freestyle rounds are 90 seconds long.

Novice freestyle will consist of 2 rounds of freestyle (no Toss/Catch round).  Cut to top 5 after round 1.  Freestyle rounds are 60 seconds long.

All Toss & Catch rounds will be 60 seconds.  All divisions will cut to top 10 after round 1.  There are no AWI Qualifying spots for Toss & Catch.  There will be an Ashley Whippet Toss & Catch World Championship in Naperville, IL.  This Championship will be open to anyone with no prior qualifying necessary.

Spectator Distance/Accuracy
We will hold a 1 round D/A event in the middle of the day to allow spectators to enter their dogs in a short Distance/Accuracy competition.

Overall Champion
An Overall Champion will be crowned for the Disc Dogathon events (Sunday only).  For each event you compete in, you will receive 10 points for a 1st place finish, 9 points for a 2nd place finish, and so on, down to 1 point for a 10th place finish.  Each competitor's points from all events will be added together to determine the Overall Champion.

**Team Time Trial (Ohio Rules) consists of 3 dog/handler teams.  Each handler takes a turns throwing to their dog until the team accomplishes three 20-yard catches.  The shortest time wins (max of 120 seconds per round).

SOFK9s Rules:
  1. Walk your dog behind the building in the grassy area, and always clean up after your dog.  Plenty of spray cleaner will be in the building, clean up after any accident in the building ASAP. 
     
  2. Do not let your dog off leash, unless it is competing.
     

  3. Do not interrupt Judges while they are judging.
     

  4. Poor sportsmanship of any sort can get you disqualified from the event, by the CCDTC officials and/or Event Judging Staff, without a refund.  Unlawful acts will be reported and prosecuted.
     

  5. To make it as comfortable as possible for all competitors, please use the chairs provided and use only the indoor space you need for crating.  If you have a barking dog please make an effort keep it quiet or crate it outside of the building.
     

  6. Mind your dog at all times, we will be in close quarters.  Do not let un-proofed dogs meet.
     

  7. Keep the floor clean of litter and food.  If any of the CCDTC facilities need attention please let an official or Judge know ASAP, before it becomes a bigger problem.
     

  8. Be mindful of the run order and have your dog walked and ready when you are called, “On Deck”.  A smooth running event is better for everyone.
     

  9. Have fun.


Discs: For all Freestyle and Toss/Fetch divisions:  Any dog-safe disc including Hero, Hyperflite, Fastback variation, Floppy Flyers, Jawz, Euroblends, Super Hero, Hero Xtra, Kong rubber, etc.  All discs must be considered safe for dog use at judges discretion. 
 

Directions: From North or South.........
Take I-75 to the Tylersville Road exit.  
Go east on Tylersville Rd.  
Turn left on Cox Rd.
Turn right onto VOA Park Rd.
Just past the guard shack, turn right on the access road
At the end of the access road turn left
Turn left again at the first road (you should see the festival)
Drive all the way to the end of the field to find our marked area.


 


Parking: Parking will be available right at the competition field site.  A parking pass will be needed to gain access to the festival and to avoid paying the festival entry fee.  A person representing our club will be stationed at the entry to the festival to distribute parking passes.

All competitors need to arrive at the festival by 9am on Saturday and 10am on Sunday to ensure that you are able to drive to our competition field and park.  Cars will not be allowed inside the festival area after these times.  If you arrive late, you will be forced to park in the designated festival parking area, which is a good distance away from our field.
